Dr. Ingrid Breuskin
Dr. Ingrid Breuskin is an otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon in the Department of Head and Neck Oncology at Gustave Roussy. Since 2016, she has served as chair of the ENT Committee at Gustave Roussy.
She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Liège in Belgium. Ingrid Breuskin holds a university diploma in head and neck oncology and a European university diploma in clinical research in oncology and oral mucosal dermatology and venereology.
Dr. Breuskin is a member of the French Head and Neck Tumor Study Group (GETTEC), the Head and Neck Radiation Oncology Group (GORTEC), the French Society of Cervicofacial Oncology (SFCCF), and the Head and Neck Group of the EORTC (European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer).
As principal investigator of the project “Clinical Evaluation of Endoscopic Confocal Microscopy in ENT Oncology —MEC ORL” PHRC Cancer 2012, she is also a co-investigator on clinical research projects in cervicofacial oncology, such as the “Magnolia” trial PHRC Cancer 2016, a Phase II study evaluating near-infrared imaging coupled with indocyanine green for intraoperative monitoring of resection margins in ENT cancer surgery, and the RORC study, which evaluates the impact of active swallowing rehabilitation on quality of life in patients treated with radiation therapy for cancer of the upper aerodigestive tract.
Dr. Breuskin is the author of approximately thirty publications. She also participates in imaging projects at the Gustave Roussy Imaging and Cytometry Platform, as well as in translational research projects with the Institute’s laboratories, including the METSY unit (METabolic and SYstemic aspects of oncogenesis for new therapeutic approaches).
